    Default Installing vbulletin

    Trying to install VB myself.

    I'm getting this error:

Step 2) Connect to the database

    Attempting to attach to database

Error description: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user 'momsinst_forum'@'localhost' (using password: YES) /home/momsinst/public_html/forum/includes/class_core.php on line 311

The database has failed to connect because you do not have permission to connect to the server. Please confirm the values entered in the 'includes/config.php' file.

I've set up my own mysql database, but I guess I did not do it correctly. I checked at the VB support forums, and they say to get the mysql database from your server. I'm on my own server, so I'm stumped.

Did you add the database user to the database that you created and add all permissions to that user?

I figured it out myself, Matt! Don't faint. I just looked at the config file from the time you guys did the install for me, and made changes accordingly. After I got past that step 2, it was completely installed w/i 10 minutes!

    Thanks for your support!!
