    Question Vbulletin?????

How many of your packages is vbulletin offered on? I really like this software but cannot afford to buy it and you are the only company that offers it.

We provide a free vBulletin license and free installation services on our Professional 5 Star Web Hosting Package, as well as our Advanced 5 Star Web Hosting Package, paid annually.

I am curious as to why it's not offered with the vps which is a more expensive plan than 5 Star?

Is the vps not well suited for vBulletin?

I would guess it is because VPS needs a separate copy for each VPS, where the 5 star is on a shared server and all can use the same code?

Not quite. It is because vBulletin is a very expensive license and we don't get any discounts on it. We pay full pop for it.

Just because the VPS might cost more to you as a client of the service, than say, a shared hosting plan, that does not mean that we are making more money on it. The less we make, the less we have to spend on goodies like a vBulletin license.

VPS are very expensive little items after you consider the cPanel license, the Virtouzzo license, special support licenses, etc etc etc.

It might be possible on the VPS heavy package, I'd have to crunch the numbers but no chance on the Lite package.

Is there a trial license? Something like a time limited trial?

I ran the vBulletin test script which checks the server for VB compatibility and GD failed:

GD functions are used to produce images, this includes features such as thumbnails and image verification on registration.

How does one enable GD functions?
