Red face missing index.php in www directory every night

www.studiopicturevehicles.com Every morning I find that index.php is missing off of the www directory...so I put it back and the site goes back up. Is there something that happens every night that would do this? and have you ever heard of this before? Created the site years ago and don't look at it too much but client called the other day, I fixed the problem by putting the index.php back into the www directory but it seems to not be there in the morning! Any ideas? thanks.

seems strange to me....did you change the FTP password yet to see if this problem goes away? Sounds like a script is FTPing into the account and removing or trying to modify the default page from how you describe it...

    Default aha...

Yes, I thought of doing that and will do it now. Noticed in the server logs someone(s) been trying to get into the coppermine side of the site with bogus login attempts since mid NOVember! Will change it now, just didn't think it was a hacker since the destruction is not so significant other than the missing index.php file. thank-you.
