Due to a recent kernel vulnerability, all servers will be upgraded with a new kernel version.

Installation of a new kernel requires a server reboot. Generally it only takes a few moments to load a new kernel, however in some cases a system will not load the new kernel, or the system may decide to run fsck which is a program which checks disk integrity and repairs any problems before returning the server online.

In any case, if a server fails to come back online, there is no need to open a ticket. We will be watching each server to make sure that it comes back online.

If there is a prolonged outage on any of the devices we will be sure to post here with a status update.
