It has come to our attention that there is a potential problem on the primary drive on the Haylee server. We have found a couple bad sectors on this unit's primary hard disk. This hard disk will need to be replaced. This hard disk contains the OS and all site files. What this means is that all sites will need to be restored from backups that we have on file. However if your data is important to you, we ask you to ensure you have local copies available because sometimes can go wrong.
We will run a final backup right before we take the server down to replace the primary drive. We anticipate the restoration process to take 6-8 hours for some sites. Others will appear within 2 hours of them going down.
If you run a mission critical site and would like to move your site to another server before the scheduled maintenance, please open a ticket at our helpdesk in the "Technical Support" department and we will try to accommodate your needs.
Unfortunately, all hard disks have a 100% guarantee, and that guarantee is at some point in their lifespan, they will break.
