    Thanks Matt.

    I was unable to find some details on the VPS plans;
What are the email specifics? How many email accounts are allowed? SMTP or Sendmail for outgoing email?

How many MySQL databases are allowed?

I really like the quick support available here.

    Cheers,
    Omar

Hello, if you have VPS, you have unlimited e-mail accounts and MySQL databases, you can use both SMTP and sendmail, as you wish. What email specifics do you want to know?

That was it, mainly. Since GH has a money back guaranty I think I can safely try it and see if everything will work.

    Cheers,

I hope that you'll like working with us and will not want to use this feature.

    Thumbs up

    Me too.

As long as it supports what I need, I'll like it!

It depends on your server and if you have root access or not. Do you have root access? Is the server WHM/cPanel? This might be more of a question for a unique thread.

This thread is regarding the existing mail limits on the various types of hosting packages that we offer, which cannot be set by you unless you have root.

I don't understand what all of this means - exceeding maximum hourly emails. Can someone explain this to me in plain english?

This directory was automatically disabled by our server monitoring software because it has exceeded the acceptable resource limits for your hosting plan.

More information about the acceptable hourly email limits can be found here.

You will need to adjust your script settings or upgrade to a package that better accommodates your email needs. Subsequent violations of our Acceptable Usage Policy typically result in permanent disabling of the directory or entire hosting account, based on how frequent or blatant the violations occur on this account.

Please let us know what your resolution to the problem will be, and we will unblock this directory for you so that you can make the appropriate modifications.

Sample of the first 10 emails:

Your tickets are making absolutely no sense to me and all I'm doing is getting more and more frustrated with Glowhost. You took my site down with this message that I've exceeded some type of email bandwidth - I have no idea how something like that happened when I don't even use that account to associate with the site and now you "think" my account may or may not have been hacked but you want me to look into hacking software that you sell? Seriously - what the hell.

Tell you what - I'm going to show all of this to a co-worker who works in IT and see what he thinks and maybe I can get some answers as to what is going on and what I need to do about it.
