Server Status

Had a client who was receiving duplicate emails this morning (which resolved within a few minutes) but as I was doing some checking, I also checked the server status...

Missy was reporting this: Connect fail - Data from DB ? and still is. What does this mean?

Normally it means there is a potential communication problem between the monitoring server and the one that has that error, or, that server does not support that part of the monitor script.

In this case it seems to be a bug in the software. We'll have one of the programmers check into it when we have a chance.

This wouldn't have any thing to do with my client getting duplicate emails...

Thanks for answering though and checking into it. I like to be able to see that our server has been up for however many days and not errors...it's just a warm and fuzzy feeling vs. impending doom. <lol>

Duplicate emails this would not be related. More often than not, that is a reult of a buggy email reader program that thinks it never downloaded it the first time, or a forwarder that is setup several times in cPanel to the same address.

I figured as much, and did review her settings. I think it was her desktop program to tell you the truth.

You see it on laptops that are on a (poor) wifi connection usually. If it is a persistent problem open a ticket with the affected address and we will look into it.
