THE ULTIMATE PHOTO GALLERY

Many (most) of my clients want a photo gallery. This has always been the most laborious part of any website. I've used Flash, Swish, Photoshop's Web gallery, basic HTML, Tried some php, and java scripts. but have not come across something that has that "WOW" factor.

What solutions have you come you used? I work primarily on a mac but also on a pc for some tasks, so please specify which platform your magic gallery solution resides on. And whether it's free or not.

2 options Either google for something like Web-site gallery script. I can't remember the solution names, but I've seen some pretty interesting.... or order a script from a great designer and programmer out there.

In my quest for the ultimate web gallery, I have found a script that work sort of within Dreamweaver. They are configured as a standalone program but are easily editable. They are Image Gallery Magic from Project Seven and it's free!

This seems to be the current eye candy for your site. even though there is a small fee.

rlhanson: very nice find, thank you. This is a great resource. I actually spent about an hour yesterday looking into a page peel effect, and it's right there in you link.

A friend and I have been using Google's Picasa for website slide shows, They are not the most dramatic but you can size them and embed them into you web page. The most important thing is that they are extremely Search Engine friendly.

It's hard to judge based on "Wow" factor, since that's pretty much subjective. Do you have any pegs to go on?
