    Default frames

I hate using frames, i dont know why but i have never put a frame in any of my website. Its like a page in a page, eating excessive bandwidth!! What do you think of frames? Do you use them? What for?

Frames are the most outdated, terrible, evil things to ever have made it onto the internet.

    IanOBrien,
your post made me smile as I have often had the same feelings about frames, especially when I have to explain to someone who is new to designing sites and think the frames are an awesome solution.

But, there are uses for them, if you aren't concerned with the SEO - like for private access areas.

Just wanted to point out that it's best not to place yourself into a box, so to speak, but to have preferences instead.
    Thank you,

I cannot think of an occasion to use frames at all, really, they are the most useless, pointless, disgusting creations of the internet :P

As rlhanson pointed out, They work great in private applications. WHM is a great example. For as public site, eh, not so much.

Frames reminds me of the CSS vs Table debate.

Frames remind me of those old school cell phones - "hello <S#&$@*#> Can you hear me? <@#(*&$@(#> I'm talking on one of those 'cellular' phon<2@#*&$*@>"

    Over and out,
