This is an important scheduled maintenance notice from GlowHost that affects the Comet (comet.gendns.com) server in our New York City, USA location. Please read the following information carefully.

Please be advised that on August 13th, 2026, the Comet server will be taken offline for a brief period to undergo an emergency maintenance with one of the storage devices.

Maintenance Window: Maintenance will begin on August 13th (Thursday), starting at 10:00 AM US Eastern. Maintenance is expected to conclude at 2:00 PM US Eastern, on the same day.

Numerous precautions are in place to ensure that the maintenance happens as seamlessly as possible. While we do not anticipate an interruption lasting longer than 30 minutes, we ask that you prepare for potential downtime of the full maintenance window in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

As with any maintenance and at all times, all GlowHost clients are encouraged to make sure that they have downloaded recent backups of the account data. In fact, making sure you have recent backups at all times is part of best practices when maintaining a website.
