Haylee Emergency Drive Replacement

The primary drive on Haylee is failing rapidly. We are going to try to move the data on this server to a standby server so that the primary drive does not need to be replaced, which can result in longer downtimes than if we are able to transfer the data to a hot spare.

However the primary drive may not last this long. If the machine dies before we can get the data to the hot spare, we will be forced to load backups onto a new drive. Installation of a new drive means installing a fresh OS and fresh instance of cPanel.

If we are able to use the hot spare, we estimate 1 hour of downtime. If we have to go with a new drive then we are looking at several hours.

We will keep you updated as progress unfolds.

Haylee will be going down very shorty. We were able to get all data transferred to the hot spare. Expected downtime is 1 hour.
