Default [How To] Create or edit the .htaccess file

    Hello,

You'll probably need to edit .htaccess file sooner or later. For this please follow steps below.

    1. Login to your cPanel account and press on "File Manager"

    2. In pop-up menu choose "Web root" and "Show Hidden Files". (All hidden files in linux have dot before name).

    3. Click on "New File" and enter .htaccess as name.

If .htaccess already exists in public_html directory, press on it, then choose "Edit".

    4. Simply agree and press edit.

    5. Insert what you need in file, note that # means is comment sign, if you enter it, and type something after it - nothing will happen.

    Press "Save changes"

    That's all
