[Email] I can't send email, but I can receive it

Although this post started in 2005 I see by the amount of views that this is a common problem. I have tried everything you mentioned above including checking and rechecking my port and I am still having an issue. This is not a lap top that I move around it's a desk machine in my home office and this just started, the email was fine and now it's not. Are there any other suggestions that I can try?

Who is your ISP? Sometimes you can contact them directly and find out if they are blocking particular ports and work around the issue.

Also, try rebooting your computer. I have a client that periodically has this issue with Outlook and a reboot fixes the problem every time.
