I see that haylee is being upgraded tonight.
I thought that has just crossed my mind is will this affect linked tables in access?
The reason being that one of the things we have created for our main customer is an access database linked directly into the online database for order processing. It has both linked tables and 'offline' tables.
The connection is made through the mysql odbc driver ver 3.51
any idea whether this will be affected?
See this thread,
http://glowhost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=469
in particular the link labelled:
General information Regarding MySQL 5 JOIN issues
Which has a link to the MySQL paper on the issue.
It is JOIN queries that are affected, not relational tables or ODBC methods. It is in only the more complicated JOINs that we see an issue that is easily solved with parentheses grouping your JOIN statements.
So, if you never join more than 2 tables at a time, you will not be affected.
There is also the issue of the new vs old passwords for connections, but I am 99% sure Matt is setting up 5 to have back-compat with 4.0 style passwords, so that shouldn't be an issue either.
Then there are some changes in date formats, but in our last several upgrades it seems the JOIN issues are the only ones we see.

Actually the 'old style mysql passwords' deal was solved in the upgrade from 4.0 to 4.1 so we should be good there.
So its just the Join issues I have seen on this update. I actually don't think anyone noticed the 4.0 to 4.1 update which would have been the one with the password problems. That's been installed for a few months now without a problem.

i hope in a way it doesnt work straight off as then i can charge them to fix it!
Good new all round, Just a couple of tweeks to the product listing and search statements as you detailed and that was it (as far as i could see) the offline database seems to work fine with no alterations so not the nightmare i thought it could be!
On a seperate note is 'webaliser stats' not working? i dont seems to have any stats for this month?
For some reason the cpanel log daemon has been crashing lately. I've restarted on your server so the stats should update shortly.

Bump,
Webalizer seems to be broke agian? No stats since the 12th of sept.
As a workaround until we have a fix from cPanel you can just click the 'update now" link found at the top of your Awstats installation if you see it happening.
