can anybody help?

Hello, it seems that your db user has not enough permissions. You need to grant permissions for him in your Cpanel. If it doesn't help, open a trouble ticket for suppport and we'll take care of it.

When you create your user in cPanel - you also have to create permissions for the user.

Also - someone may want to remove the actual user and path info from this thread for protection of his db!

Usernames are a good thing to hide, but honestly, anyone can see the username on the server if they know how. Passwords are what need to be masked and he doesn't list his password, which is good. Also his server and domain are not listed which is another good thing. I am not even sure if this user is a GlowHost customer so the chances of the GP finding out how to connect to his DB is pretty slim.

Oops I see the domain. Even still his MySQL server has to allow connections from foreign host IPs so he should be good to go, though i will edit his post per your suggestion.

Thanks Matt - I just don't see any reason to give someone a "head-start" on accessing places they shouldn't be.
