HELP! I need instructions on how to get a corvette, that is out of gas, moved out of my garage! Does anyone know if a 2000 corvette takes diesel or unleaded gasoline?

Amy, thats a nice name
Always good to hear a girl talking about a car!
1st way to determine petrol type: Is the car noisy? ie does it sound like a diesel (they tend to rattle a lot and chuck out all manor of black rubish from the exhaust when started).
2nd way: Take the 'petrol' cap off and have a good smell, does it smell like unleaded or diesel (they have quite distinctive smells).
3rd way: Look around the filling hole, is there an oily residue? if yes then it is diesel.
4th way: when it used to start did you have to wait a while between turning the ignition on and cranking the engine (to wait for the glow plugs to warm up) if yes then it is a diesel.
There are lots more ways but im guessing the gas type will be the start of the problems because if it has been sat a while the brakes will probably have siezed. If that has happened the best remidy is to make sure your revs are bouncing off the limiter and drop the clutch (assuming manual) making sure you are in the right gear
mmm cars
I've never heard of a diesel Corvette. You're pretty safe with regular unleaded. You may find a diesel corvette in eastern europe, though. I was just over there and they love diesel.
Charles
If you put regular unleaded in there there will be hell to pay! Premium only!!!

Yeah, good point. Better put some of the good stuff in there while you're at it.
