Another question about VPS - For those on VPS servers - will we have to (re)configure Exim and / or update or upload new lists to our servers?

About a year or two ago, I noticed a significant reduction of spam on the Haylee server and I attribute this to something you guys had installed and / or updated. This has worked well for me since then, but will I have to tweak things myself?

Since I moved over to the new vps with my domain, I've noticed a pickup in the amount of spam, so I wanted to get global settings configured before I move my clients over as well.

we use a single exim configuration for our shared servers and VPS's to keep our clients protected from spam as much as possible.

My clients (and I) are receiving so much foreign spam! How do I change the settings in spam assassin to address letters which contain this type of characters:

They have all different subjects. Also getting viagra, (and you know what else), so I just increased the spam assassin settings but the russian (thanks Charles, btw) is still getting through.

Have you disabled your default address? have you set Spam assassin to auto-delete anything over say, 6 and flag anything at say, 5?

Well, the spam message is not a babelism, it is an advertising of tourist tour to one of the ancient Russian towns called Kolomna. To reduce the number of spam messages, you just need to disable your default e-mail address and configure SpamAssassin. Sure, SpamAssassin can filter e-mails depending on the language of the message, but it can be implemented on VPS or dedicated server only, since it is a global rule.
