Hello folks,
I was wondering if the domain extension matters for SEO. For example will mydomainname.nl rank higher then mydomainname.com in google.nl (meaning, localised search)? Or doesn't it matter.
Thanks a bunch for the reply (if one..)

Yes, I have found when travelling abroad that the .nl will come up nearly every time when I am in NL using the localized search.

most of the people search .com extensions....so traffic increase without SEO.....so .com is higher rank when compare to .nl....
I think people first see any website and .com on Google.
Yes thats true. Domain extension helps to get rank in local search engines quickly
Yes, Domain matters as far as SEO is considered. If the keyword is present in the URL then that will help you further rank higher.
I think its usually happens with niche base website.
Most people would first prefer the .com domain for every site. Thus you could say that domain extension matters for SEO.
Because it is a user-friendly experience and most of the search engine prefer the user experience
