Due to popular demand, we will begin upgrades on MySQL 4.1 to bring it to version 5 starting the week of Monday, August 14th, 2006 and continuing throughout the week until all shared and fully managed dedicated servers are completed. If you have a semi-managed dedicated server or a fully managed dedicated server, you must request this upgrade, it will not be done automatically for you.
This upgrade will entail a brief period of database inaccessibility due to the fact the we need to shut the database server down to perform the upgrade. Once it has been upgraded we will restart the database server.
This will not affect any other services on your machine. Mail and web services should run fine. PHP and other scripts that rely on MySQL for functionality will be temporarily disrupted.
We plan on doing this as late at night as possible for the least possible disruption during regular business hours.
This should only take 15-30 minutes to complete if all goes well.
Please make certain that your scripts are up to date and compatible with mysql 5.0. We will be keeping the haylee server on mysql 4.1 for those of you that inadvertantly have problems with the upgrade you may host your sites their temporarily while you upgrade any incompatible scripts.
Problematic scripts know to break on this uppgrade are almost all OSCommerce-based shopping carts including creloaded, oscmax and zend cart. Invision Power Board also has issues with this upgrade.
We have found and created patches for some of these scripts that you may find useful.

Please check this thread as we will post the servers in real time that are undergoing the upgrades, as well as when they are completed. This will prevent you from having to open a ticket to ask us if the upgrades have been completed. If the upgrades have been completed, and you have errors on your site, then please open up a support ticket and we will try to assist.
