Dear Valued Customers,
As many of our cloud customers may have noticed, the cloud has not been performing the way that it is supposed to. Traditionally our cloud has been a very reliable solution for several years, and it's original purpose was to be able to offer the most reliable hosting available, but something went wrong. After working with our hardware vendors in the Atlanta datacenter, they believe to have finally isolated the cause of the random, yet sweeping problems that have been affecting the network which powers our cloud. In order to take care of that problem as quickly as possible, Emergency maintenance is required and has been scheduled as follows:
Please read these details carefully:
Server Name: All Cloud VDS and Enterprise Cloud Servers
Service Date: Friday, 6 September, 2013
Service Window: 10 PM to 1 AM US EST
Anticipated Impact: 1 hour
Details: The GNAX datacenter has declared that emergency maintenance will be performed on a pair of aggregation switches to prevent future network disruptions of the type which have plagued our cloud infrastructure over the last few weeks. Multiple brief interruptions may be experienced for any customer utilizing our cloud services during this maintenance window.
This means work will begin at some point during this time specified in the service window above, unless unexpected situations arise. During this service window, your site may go temporarily offline. If we are unable to start the maintenance before the service window closes, it will be re-scheduled for the next day at the same time, however, this is rare.
As always, we recommend that you have local copies of your web site in the event of unforeseen issues which may result in complete and total data loss on the server. While we do not anticipate this to be an issue, it is always a wise choice to have copies of your web site in multiple locations.
You can make copies of your web site using the backup option in your cPanel.
