This is an important scheduled maintenance notice from GlowHost which affects the romeo.gendns.com server. Please read the following information carefully.
As part of our mission to provide the best web hosting services, we are announcing that we will be migrating all clients on the Romeo server to brand new, and upgraded hardware.
Please be advised that on May 2nd, we will begin transferring client accounts from the existing Romeo server to the new Juliet server in an initial migration.
Migration Window: The initial migration will begin on May 2nd (Friday) at 2:00 AM Eastern. The initial migration is expected to complete at 9:00 AM.
The Romeo server will be reaching end of service on May 9th, and while we expect a majority of websites to be transferred successfully within the initial maintenance window, we recognize that a small number of websites may require some extra time due to special configurations. We will be working with all clients throughout the remaining period to ensure their websites are transferred successfully to the new server.
We do not expect any downtime at any point, however we do ask that you prepare for potential downtime of the full maintenance window in the case of unforeseen circumstances.
As with any maintenance and at all times, all GlowHost clients are encouraged to make sure that they have downloaded recent backups of account data. In fact, making sure you have recent backups at all times is part of best practices when maintaining a web site.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us via ticket. Our technical support team is available 24/7 to help.
