Dear Valued Customers,
You may have heard about a recently disclosed vulnerability in the Bash application, known as ‘Shellshock'.

Below, you will find an explanation of what Shellshock is, but we want to first let you know that all GlowHost servers have already been patched against the Shellshock vulnerability. We strive to ensure a high level of security and have worked hard to patch this issue quickly to minimize any possibility of the vulnerability being exploited. We can clarify that none of our servers have been exploited and all customer data is secure.

What is Shellshock?
The Shellshock vulnerability is a flaw in Bash which may allow attackers to execute their own code or commands on a server running a vulnerable version of Bash from across a network, known as a remote code execution vulnerability. Shellshock is particularly serious due to the ease with which the attack can be conducted against vulnerable systems and the widespread nature of the Bash shell.
