Perhaps you mean the difference between a traditional dedicated server and a cloud server. In terms of the services we currently provide, you can compare the low-end plans and find the necessary information at https://glowhost.com/web-hosting-pla...omparison.html

The main benefit of cloud datacenter is its ability of scalability, the resources provided by cloud can be minimize and maximize as per our want whereas in traditional, we need to use all the resources with which we are provided with.Cloud data center is an off-premise form of cloud computing where the data and information are stored on the internet, and traditionl data centers stores data on local network.Cloud updates are managed by third party and traditional are managed by own IT department.

The purpose of traditional and Cloud data center is the same purpose i.e. storage of data.

Only there is difference in the mechanism used for storing the data. In Traditional data center each application has its own infrastructure, so if there are 1000 applications then the requirement would be of 1000 data centers.

Whereas in Cloud data center all the applications are hosted in one common cloud storage which reduces the cost as compared to Traditional data centers.

Default Difference between Cloud and Data Centers?

Cloud and Data Centers are seem similar to many people but both are different, Cloud is an off-premise form of computing that stores data on the internet and Data center is on-premise hardware that stores data in local organizations network.

I disagree with the definitions of Cloud and Datacenter in the last three posts, but then again I'm probably arguing the point with robots and spammers in this thread.

Cloud is an online storage system, whereas data center refers to hardware that stores data within organization's local network. Cloud is accessible from anywhere.

Mobile cloud computing uses cloud computing to deliver applications to mobile devices. Also mobile computing is related to the new devices and interfaces like users can access data and information through browsers.

A cloud data center is completely distinct from a traditional data center. There are no similar features between cloud and traditional data cent other than storing data. A cloud Data center is not placed in a particular organization’s office; it’s all online! When your information is stored on cloud servers, it automatically becomes fragmented & duplicated across multiple locations for safe storage.
