    Default Squirrelmail and Horde Themes/Skins?

Does anybody have a clue if we can install any skins/themes on Squirrelmail and Horde? The one they come with is pretty bland and basic.

Sorry but cPanel doesn't support skinning of the mail interfaces for resellers. This can be done only by server administrators and you can get them installed only on dedicated servers.

Is there a way to have only one choice of email client for a package plan?

It not that I don't like either, I usually use Horde and direct my users to that client.

I just rather not give them a choice, most users that use webmail access, have limited skills and the extra choice always leads to problems. Mod to advanced users seem to perfer setting up a pop account on thier pc.

In a pinch it's great to be able to check mail from any browser and Horde does that fine.

    IMO anyway

Well I was thinking there might be something in the feature manager under "packages" in WHM but there is not. It is either all or nothing. cPanel has a new theme out soon with more flexible controls, maybe this will be bundled in? We will see.

Outside of that, as a dedicated server owner, you can choose from 2-3 different webmail programs at any given time, or disable them all, enable only one, skin them, install something not supported by cPanel, etc. etc.

We enabled both because some people are squirrelmail fans and some are horde. They both have their benefits depending on how they are being used I guess.

Its still really buggy from the comments I have been seeing about it. I don't want to install anything on the servers that is not yet in the STABLE cPanel tree.

I really look forward to the new theme though, it should solve lots of issues with the old X themes...but I am not to excited about installing it yet if its going to make things worse.

So no real ETA yet, but just as soon as it is stable enough to work we will have it installed.

Looks like things on the new skin are coming along good. cpanel says they are about 94% complete.

I put in a request for you to see if we can get brandable/themeable/skinable webmails for resellers, we will see how it goes....but:

I proposed a "MySQL Wizard" to simplify the database creation process, and they included in the new theme to my exact specification, I also suggested some changes to the way the default address was handled, and they redid that as well.

I am hoping we will see similar with the skinable webmail request. They seem to be very receptive to new ideas.
