BUT, in respect to the registrar getting them registered - if by that you mean updating the DNS - they are...

As for contacting my registrar, they just keep telling me that the problem is with glowhost and all of the above.

Yes, at least I tried to - that's where I received the error messages. The registrar won't allow the nameservers for the reasons given above.
