1) Do you have raid servers for all?
NO, not all and I am starting to wonder if we like them at this point. They usually have the biggest problem with getting online in a timely fashion after a hard reboot.
Do you provide me backup of my site if something happens?
We have backups that we retain for our own usage. We can restore it and usually do, but by no means does that mean we are responsible for your data. You need to have local copies.
2) Is there any limitation in the number of files or inodes?
Currently, no.
3) Limitrecursion for pure-ftpd - can it be set at 4000 or 5000?
sure.
4) I have a nearly 30 mb mysql database ? How can I put it on your server?
SSH or FTP, we can import it from the command line from there.
5) Is this host sale-proof
meaning many webhosts I have been with has done good business and then either changed data centers or sold to a new company leaving customers in mess? GlowHost has been hosting since 2002 and do not have any plans of selling the company. There is no reason to. If anything, we buy companies.
6) The hosting space difference between plans is too wide. While its just 250mb for pro, for basic/budget its 2500. Can the pro have not slightly more space eg 750 mb or 1 gb at $6.plus ?
Our prices are set the way they are for a reason. Less sites per server = less revenue which has to be accounted for by offering plans of a higher price.
Not essentail to know, but do you have multiple and your own supportstaff ?
Everyone that works for
GlowHost is "our own" and yes, there are several of us including dedicated programmers, billing representatives and server technicians.
To Matt, were you ever with webdude's worldzonepro ?
Nope, must be another Matt
