Scheduled Hardware Maintenance for Oscar Server - 4th June, 2025 at 11:00 PM EDT

This is an important scheduled maintenance notice from GlowHost, which affects the oscar.gendns.com server in our Orlando (Florida) location. Please read the following information carefully.

Please be advised that on June 4th, 2025, the Oscar server will be moved to a different cabinet. The purpose of this maintenance is to improve cooling capacity and to perform PDU upgrades across several cabinets.

Maintenance Window: Maintenance will begin on June 4th, 2025 (Wednesday) at 11:00 PM EDT. Maintenance is expected to conclude at 05:00 AM EDT on June 5th (Thursday), 2025.

Numerous precautions are in place to ensure that the maintenance happens as seamlessly as possible. While we do anticipate an interruption to the services during the cabinet change, we do ask that you prepare for potential downtime during the full maintenance window in the case of unforeseen circumstances.

As with any maintenance and at all times, all GlowHost clients are encouraged to make sure that they have downloaded recent backups of their account data. In fact, making sure you have recent backups at all times is part of best practices when maintaining a website.
