I am a homosexual, and I believe we deserve the same civil rights as any other citizen: we have the right to be happy, living in the same house with the person we love, being able to get insurance coverage from the spouse's company, being able to pay taxes together, being able to adopt a kid, being able to be there and make decisions in case the spouse becomes mentally incapable, being able to inherit from the spouse and to get the government's pension and retirement savings when the spouse is dead. Is that too much to ask? All these could be granted if the government allowed homosexuals to get married under the cicil laws. I'm not talking about anything "sacred" related to any church, just the simple human rights and citizen rights that any other person has.
