GlowHost Rolls Out PHP5 web hosting

Starting this week all shared and reseller servers will be equipped with PHP5 web hosting services.

The Missy server is already equipped with PHP5 and things are going well.

We hope to have the rest of the servers completed by the end of the week.

What this means is you will be able to run PHP4 and PHP5 on the same server, alongside MySQL5. Wow! Both PHP versions for the same price?!? Yep, we know, we're good like that.

PHP4 will still be the default PHP Environment however through .htaccess you can run certain subfolders under PHP5, and certain subfolders under PHP4, or, you can change the default setting so that the entire site under PHP5 or the entire site under PHP4. It is very flexible based on what you want to do.

We will add some knowledge base articles shortly on how to achieve this and we hope you enjoy the new technologies!

Well we beat our target and all shared and reseller servers are currently running PHP4+PHP5+MySQL5.
